This monumental suspended work reinterprets the classical torso through a modern, industrial lens. Hand-formed from large-scale aluminium and finished in a rich, multi-layered crimson, the sculpture appears to float weightlessly despite its physical mass. The highly reflective, undulating surface captures and distorts the surrounding gallery light, emphasizing the raw, muscular energy of the form. It is a visceral mixed media study of human anatomy, where the rigidity of metal meets the fluid grace of the body in motion.

BEGRUNZELED

To Begrunzle, the violent process of beating metal to form into artistic forms. This work is difficult, dangerous, violent and painful. This is a physical activity, you feel it, using your body to create bodies.
